Bridge If one or more teeth are missing, then Dr. Norden will build a bridge of natural looking teeth to fill the gap. The procedure includes building crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap where the tooth or teeth are missing. The crowns on the natural teeth create a strong, custom fitted bridge and cannot be distinguished from real teeth. Implants Implants are an alternative to bridges when replacing missing teeth. This procedure is generally used when one tooth is missing. The dentist surgically implants a metal anchor to the jawbone, using metal posts, which mimic a natural tooth's root structure. A natural looking replacement tooth is held by the anchor. Implants are a permanent solution to the problem of missing teeth. |
