On Friday Dec 1, 2017, WestcoastSmile Dental Studio and Whitening Spa, held our first charity day event called “LIGHT UP A SMILE”.
Our goal was to see how many ZOOM! Teeth whitenings we could perform in our office in one day; with all proceeds of the event going to the “Canucks for Kids” Fund. I have a passion for kids and because I am the team dentist for the NHL Vancouver Canucks, I am very familiar with the “Canucks for Kids” fund and the great work they do. “Canucks for Kids” distributes many grants to terrific organizations in our community dedicated to helping kids in need.
I loved the idea of finding a way for WestcoastSmile Dental to make our contribution to this fund. All our dentists and members of the team volunteered their time and efforts and we had wonderful support from our Kitsilano neighbourhood.
First, I would like to thank our sponsors including Phillips Canada for their generous support of ZOOM! teeth whitening kits. In addition, a shout out to our great neighbours on the coolest block in town at Cypress Ave. and 1st Ave. in Kitsilano.

Thanks to everyone it was a great success and has emboldened me to challenge my fellow dentists next December to see if we can make this event grow even bigger.
