Community history
A look back at our December 2017 charity day in Kitsilano, when the Westcoast Smile team volunteered its time to support the Canucks for Kids Fund.

On December 1, 2017, Westcoast Smile Dental held its first Light Up a Smile charity day. During the one-day event, our team volunteered its time for ZOOM! teeth-whitening appointments, with the event proceeds donated to the Canucks for Kids Fund.
This page is preserved as part of Westcoast Smile’s community history. It describes a past fundraiser, not a current whitening promotion or offer.
The fundraiser grew from Dr. Jeffrey Norden’s long connection with the Vancouver Canucks and his familiarity with the Canucks for Kids Fund. Westcoast Smile’s dentists and team members volunteered their time so the day could support children and families in the wider community. Learn more about Dr. Jeffrey Norden.
Phillips Canada supported the 2017 event with whitening kits. Local businesses also contributed gifts for patient swag bags. At the time, participating neighbourhood supporters included Suki’s West 1st Ave., Pane from Heaven, Be Fresh, Bare Wax Bar, XFuel Sports Nutrition, Vancouver Running Company, Chocolate Arts and Rocky Mountain Flatbread.
The event brought together our dental team, patients and neighbouring businesses around a local fundraising effort. We keep this original story online because it documents one part of Westcoast Smile’s history in Kitsilano.
